Due to their absorption of the sun's UV rays, the majority of window tint is susceptible to fading over time. Even in our standard range, Glacier Tinting uses more premium tints compared to some of our competitors. Because of this higher quality film and the technology used in it, you can expect our standard range to last for at least 5 years and our Nano Ceramic range to last a lifetime. Our 2-ply window tint comes with a 5-year limited warranty as well as a lifetime warranty from the manufacturer. In comparison to our standard range, our Premium Nano Ceramic film line has a lifetime warranty and will last much longer.
Vehicles have certain laws that apply to them in terms of how dark they can have their tints, on the front of the car your windows must let in 70% of the light, in the rear you can have the film as dark as you would like.
We have a wide selection of tints available for automotive and domestic application, for our automotive selection we have a range of standard 2-ply films, our premium nano ceramic range of tint, and specialised "chameleon tint"- all the films come in a range of shades from 5% (Darkest) to 70% (Lightest).
For our domestic and commercial customers we advise a free consultation where we can provide examples and samples of the window tint that we offer, our most popular tints would include mirrored tint and UV clear protection tint but as each home is unique we advise to book a consultation where we can sample and advise the perfect tint for your home or office.
Yes- Window tint can be removed restoring any window to its original look.
The main difference between 2-ply tint and nano ceramic tint is the technology used in the manufacturing process.
2-ply tint, also known as dyed film, is made by layering a dye between two layers of polyester film. The dye absorbs heat and blocks light from passing through the window, providing basic heat and glare reduction. Although still being highly superior to several other tints on the market, 2-ply tint does not offer as much protection against harmful UV rays as Nano Ceramic tint.
On the other hand, nano ceramic tint is made by infusing ceramic particles into a layer of polyester film. These particles are designed to reflect heat and block UV rays without blocking visible light. Nano ceramic tinting offers superior heat rejection, blocking up to 99% of UV rays and up to 80% of infrared heat. This type of tinting is also more durable and long-lasting than 2-ply tint.
